The Gas Separator is a slightly more complex piece of equipment, however it also works by the same principle of gravity separation.

Down Gas Separator was designed to provide a method of allowing gas to separate out of the solution and migrate up the annulus, preventing gas locking of the down-hole pump.Down Gas Separator the sand on the joint, split body, center tube, spiral slice, release valve, fittings and other components under. 5. Gas-free fluid then enters the pump intake tube and travels up the inner tube
